Butler Group calls Mediasurface 'innovative'
In a recently published Technology Audit report, respected analyst firm Butler Group reviews the Web Content Management (WCM) market, positioning Mediasurface and its Morello product as "definitely in the ascendancy".
Senior Research Analyst Sue Clarke, author of the report, writes: "Butler Group regards Mediasurface to be one of the more innovative WCM vendors currently in the marketplace and believes that Morello provides powerful capabilities that help organisations to build and maintain multiple Web sites."
Butler Group has identified the following key differentiators of Morello:
- Morello has an intuitive smart client interface, designed for business users;
- Users can create content in a variety of ways;
- In-context editing and collaboration are supported;
- Morello SitePacks and Instant Site allow rapid implementation in days rather than weeks;
- Web pages and entire sections can easily be moved or copied between sites using drag and-drop;
- Any type of content can be dragged and dropped straight into and out of Morello.
"In 2002, a new management team took control of Mediasurface and since that time both sales revenue and profitability have shown successive quarters of growth. It is our opinion that Morello should be considered by any organisation looking to implement a specialist WCM solution", says Sue Clarke.
